Mr Tobias Lindgren, FRCS(Plast), is a consultant plastic and gender-affirmation surgeon. His practice spans feminising procedures such as vaginoplasty and facial feminisation and masculinising ones such as chest (top) surgery and phalloplasty, and he reads Coming Into Self’s articles before they go live to make sure the clinical detail holds up.

His focus is accuracy: that the way the site explains the pathway, assessment, procedures, recovery, dilation, results, and the complication and regret figures all match current practice and the guidance of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH SOC-8), NHS gender dysphoria services, and the peer-reviewed literature.
